It was a momentous day today as I took the car on its maiden voyage. Basically built a new engine on top of the existing short block. The biggest change was going from CIS (same system as Porsche) to EFI. That's the only way to get any real HP increase. We added a big-valve ported head, a custom ground hi-lift cam, a Garret GT28RS turbo, a stainless header and many associated changes. Went from 200HP stock to 300-350HP depending on how I tune it. Same HP as the early factory cars. Car is around 2600lbs.
Initial driving impression? I'm going to need a lot of miles behind the wheel to tame this beast! It's incredibly fast. How they rallied these cars at the limit is beyond me

I didn't realise there was so much Quattro love on here. I treated myself to a new tow car last November which has to be one of the best collaberations since the Auto Union. Unfortunately for you guys over the pond, you weren't allowed to have them
It's currently putting out 315hp but with a slight massage it'll easily make 380hp and improve it's MPG. It's not quick, it's properly fast. My friend has a 997 Turbo and was recently quoted in saying, I'm not sure my 911 is much quicker than this thing! Here's a photo.

Very Cool Curt; What ECU are you using?
ECU is from 034 Motorsport (Fremont, CA). Audi specialist. It was used and included a labeled wiring harness which made the conversion much easier.
