    Hi Guys,

I've decided to sell my Irish Green 911S. It's a very nice car, needs nothing, has a bunch of cool accessories (sorry all you purists), and has just the right amount of patina. Mechanically awesome and a blast to drive.

Get it just in time for Treffen 2010!

    Asking $70K.

    Great Car

Not to take this listing down the rabbit hole but does the word "correct" mean something other than matching?

In this case it means that I've never gotten a CofA so can't confirm that it is matching. It IS a "correct 70s vintage engine a appears to be original.

NICE car John. I would have to say that chassis and engine number match.

From the Porsche 911 Red Book:

    1970 911

    911S Coupe Chassis # 9110300001 - 9110301744
(Chasis # end id Dec 1969 = 9110300757) Other Source

    911 Engine Serial # 6300001 - 6302480 (911/02)
    (Includes Coupes and Targas)

Good luck with the sale....Would sure look nice in my garage. Alas, I'm not allowed to buy any cars right now....

    Thanks John,

I looked in the Early S reg. data base and this car is listed with 2 different owners.

One owner (G. L.) doesn't list an engine serial # but in the comment section says: "2.7 RSR engine, Dark green"

The other owner (T. R.) doesn't list an engine # either but says: "Irish green,Car originally bought from Vasek Polak dealership travelled to MA and FL before it's return to Calif."

Maybe a call to this # would help confirm matching or not.

I contacted Porsche and the original engine number was 6300210 not 6300385, so it is not the matching engine case. Jeff Trask suggested maybe they blew up #210 testing it at the factory and installed #385...sounds possible.

Seriously, I'm still selling but I'm dropping the asking price to $65K. This is a great car! The body is outstanding...not a spec of rust and no accidents. It runs great, and is all fresh mechanically. No sorting out needed, just get in and drive. You could paint it but then you'd be afraid to drive it.

    Somebody make me an offer.
