    My first message!

    Dear early 911 friends,

After years spent as "passive observer" of this magnificent forum, time has come for me to enter into the world's biggest early 911 community.

When I was 23 - 12 years ago - I put ALL of my savings in a 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 targa. The day I started that car's engine I was born a second time.

Over the last years, I developed a taste for all aircooled 911s - in general - and more specifically for all early 911s (and 912s, of course). Changing the status from student to graduate gave me the big privilege to own many of them: unfortunately, purchasing the next often meant to say goodbye to the previous. Had I been Bill Gates, I would be owning them all still today...). Anyway: the more aircooled 911 I tested, the more I got convinced that the best 911 blend was the very originary. Today I own a white 1966 911 and a green metallic 1973 911T 2.4 targa.

In the summer of 2006, I co-founded, together with two other early 911 addicted friends, the Swiss early Porsche 911 club, called "Urelfer Club Schweiz". Counting almost 120 members, the club organizes 4 meetings per year in always new places. Since last November we have our own website (www.urelfer.ch), and since last week the website has also been translated in English. On the website you will find many pictures and very much documentation (Christophorus, brochures, etc.).

There are already a couple of members of the "Urelfer Club Schweiz" contributing on this forum, and I am pleased to greet them too over this forum.

I look forward to contribute on this forum!

    Matt

Congratulations and welcome! That is a very well thought out club website with a fresh, modern look. You should be very proud!

Is it possible to order one of your club stickers? It would look great in my garage!

    Congrats,
    -Mike

Very nice. That site gets me thinking of driving an early 911 in that beautiful countyside with beautiful women and good beer!

It's nobody's business what cars I own. I will tell you one thing though, they're air cooled and I beat 'em like they owe me money.
