It's not clear what part you're referring to as "side." The spring is part of "901.108.650.00 damper". The bracket that holds the damper is "901.108.621.00 bracket"

It's easy to find those part numbers in the free download parts catalog from Porsche Classic.

The parts for Solex linkages all seem to have been discarded or they're hidden away under the control of folks who don't know their value. Finding the brackets is probably going to be challenging although a good metalworker might be able to duplicate them.

I don't know the source for the damper but Paul Abbot of Performance Oriented once told me they're still available and they're American made. You'd have to ask him for the source.

If you find a source for the damper, please let me know.

    Thanks,

This is what I currently have, this is no problem to run the engine but I want it to be complete.

I e-mailed Paul Abbott of Performance Oriented www.PerformanceOriented.com, and he was kind enough to reply. It seems Porsche’s "901.108.650.00 damper" is also used on “Nailhead” Buicks.

Paul sent me a link to this on eBay: NORS 264 322 364 401 425 Buick Nailhead Carburetor Dash Pot & 215 / 300 Engine but warned that it needs to have the tip modified (shortened).

I did a little googling and found http://nailheadbuick.com/intake which offers this:

It looks like a perfect match.

I also went to my car and checked the old damper (which doesn’t seem to damp). Its threaded mounting shaft sure seems to be 3.8” x 24 tpi UNF and my ½ inch wrench is the best fit to the 901.108.675.00 hexagon nuts holding it. Note that standard metric fasteners don’t get 901 prefix part numbers.
