Have you ever seen a Lavender Blue 67S??

    Dear all,
I´m looking for any info I can find on this car. It´s a matching number 67S with a very interesting VW (Ghia) color called Lavender.
It came to Norway in 98/99 from a warm and dry place in the US. It is absolutely beautiful and I hope to find more of the cars history and previous owners.

This is the info I have so far:
    VIN: 308022S
    Color: VW L397
    Options: Gas heater, tinted glass

The color is probably not 100% correct, but I believe pretty close. It changes a lot in different light, from "Gulf" to almost purple.

I compared the paint tag with the astronaut 67S that is pretty close in production. I did not dare to believe my own eyes, so I got help from Eric Linden to take a look at it. He says it looks correct

    More info to follow.

    Best,

    Radmund

Looks correct - could have been a 'paint to match' custom order. The CoA will give interestin insights. Have you ordered one yet?

I requested Porsche Norway to check with the factory. They only confirmed the engine number. I therefore sent a mail to DaveP. Now I wonder if there has been a misunderstanding and that they assumed I only requested confirmation the car was matching numbers. Will order a CoA now.

Thanks for the link Mike! I think it looks pretty much like the sample!

John: Thank you I was very lucky and very grateful I got it!!

Nice. That's only 10 chassis numbers before mine. Would have been made
in the first couple of days of April 1967.

    Rådmund,

Like I said to you...quite a stunning car! The undercarriage pics I was sent are some of the nicest I've ever seen of an unrestored car.

What tires are on the car? They really look perfectly "correct" on the car.

    regards,
    Eric
