Can the old Leistritz muffler be used on 3.2 engine?

    Hi guys,
    My 1970, has 3.2 engine, 964 cams, ported & polished and the 2 in 1 out M&K.
It is loud and I love it for occasion track drive.
My group of 15 cars has to do 1250 miles round trip from the Thai border to Malaysia Sepang F-1 track this coming 2 weeks.
I think about switching from M&K to the standard muffler for the comfort of my ears. Just wondered if the old Leistritz muffler will be OK to be used with the 3.2 engine. Many thanks
    Burint

You should be fine using that muffler, A lot of people switch from sport mufflers to stock and back to meet sound regulations at various venues. There may be a small power loss due to reduced flow, but the comfort level may be worth it to you in this case.

Will work just fine. I used one with a 3.2L with no problems whatsoever - you may even notice an increase in low end torque.
