It was nice seeing another RS driven as intended by its owner. Other cars special to note; the Hippie Porsche and a Daytona Coupe. The real joy of the day was the sharing of something important to me with my son. The day started with him just wanting to avoid his mother and homework. Ended with him having a lot of fun.

It was interesting to note that #17 wore an S Bumper and had the flat bottom couch seats.

    Luke/Luca (anyone?),

What kind of headlights are on that '69S? I see a small logo at their center but can't figure it out.

Wow, a very early production RS. I like the early version Carrera side script along with the 6 and 7" color matched Fuchs with unpainted center caps. The script on the ducktail is also pre-production. As you say the S spoiler also looks good. The production FG front spoiler was not finalized yet so an S spoiler was put on this car as well as a white with blue Carrrera for the early publicity shots.

They restored it as it was shown in the early factory brochures at the introduction of the RS. There is large color photo of this car in the RS book on page 151. Very nice.

Great to see 017 being driven on the road and not hidden away in some anonymous collection gathering dust !
Looks like Luca is well on his way to being another Porsche tragic !

    Cheers,
    Dennis.
