    West Coast Show Recommendations?

I showed my '67 911 Coupe Sports Purposes Build rally car in the Carmel Concours last year, my first show, and I really enjoyed it.

I've continued to improve the car and would like to enter some shows this year. As I'm new to this I would appreciate recommendations from others here more knowledgeable than me of the best shows to consider on the West Coast.

    Thanks for your input.

    Cheers,
    John Audette

IMO the Carmel event is hard to beat.

    John,

on Sept. 26 Sunday,) there is a wonderful small Concours scheduled at the Ledson Winery in Kenwood, in Sonoma County on Hwy. 12. It's put on by the Redwood Region, the same folks that will be hosting the show this coming weekend at the Marin Civic Center and is always a delightful little event. It's right on the grounds of the winery, PCA judging standards, beautiful grounds and many of us have been hoping for new blood to come and claim some trophies since the same old two or three folks get all the gold year after year.

About 4 miles down the road is one of the best Italian restaurants in NorCal...."Ristorante Citti", and wine country is a few miles over the hill in the next valley. All in all, the ideal event & venue for more than just a wham-bam thank-yo-ma'am show.........you can make a nice show & drive weekend of it.

More on the PCA Reg. 7 site, the Redwood Reg. site & the Ledson site.
