    WTB Two 2.0L pistons

I need two, good-quality pistons for my 2.0L re-build, if you happen to have a couple laying around. I'm trying hard to avoid being in the parts business, so i'd prefer to avoid parts-packages.

At the same time, i wouldn't want to break up a matched set, so i'd consider that.

    thank you, as always.

    piston

    T, L, S ? Which type, I assume the 2.0L means 2 liter, not a 911L?

    Thanks for the good questions

    Early 911 Friends,

thank you for the good questions. when i was restoring my '59cab, i got used to providing the details of my requests, but my knowledge hasn't progressed that far on the 911, yet. this helps.

i think the pistons that i need are 80V37. they have the ring below the wrist pin. i think the engine was 130HP if that is helpful.

the engine is a standard 2 liter 911 engine. to be honest, i don't know the difference between an L engine and a standard 911 engine, so you guys are helping to educate me. the case #'s appear to cover both the 911 and the 911L engine, according to the research material that i have consulted.

While we're having this discussion, i also need a distributor cap hold-down clip for a cast iron distributor (one clip was broken), if you happen to have one of those in your stockpiles.

i hope this additional information helps. thank you, again.

I found these 2 pistons from a 65 911. PM me if they are what you need.

Those sure look like the ticket. Be sure to check the ring gap if at all possible. Should be fine as the forged 9:1 CR Mahles of the 911 Normal are pretty robust given the power output.

If Rick has sold them, I can probably help him out. I have used one's laying which I have no use for.
