how concerned should I be...debris in engine compartment

our new project, the '72 hotrod came with a rapidly deteriorating foam and foil engine compartment pad....I've been finding little bits of old foam all around.

so, how much should I worry about it clogging up air passages around the motor???

I'll cover the motor when I replace the pad, but right now, I have no plans to drop the motor anytime soon.

Lewis...it's getting sucked into the fan and deposited on the engine cooling fins

better get busy and remove it.

Dick Hyland once told me, "The only thing that sound pad is good for is clogging up the cooling fins"
