FS: Two Owner 67 911 Coupe - Original Paint

Two owner CA black plate '67 911 Coupe. All numbers match. This one is a true survivor with all original Bahama Yellow paint and Black interior. Rust free. Excellent documentation with factory manual and service book. Excellent mechanicals. COA lists optional wood steering wheel, which is included.
Just over 90,000 original miles. Yes, they are only original once and this one is very original. Photos are available here. $53,500.

    Nice!

    Steve,

One of the nicest and most original (I'm not sure about the side lettering which is not on the C of A?) 67 coupes, Normal or S, I've ever seen!

You certainly can find them! You had that Polo Red '67S Targa which also was extremely original. Good luck.

PS Thanks for all the archive fotos which do provide terrific reference.

    Beautyful car!

I only wonder about the lack of black paint under the engine grille.

I recall a post months back don't think a consensus or definative conclusion was ever reached. My 67 is light ivory and is painted black. The only thing I came away with was that it MAY have been a mid production change or depending on car color remained that way.

I have no problem with the theory that all men are created equal.
But after that moment you are on your own and nobody owes you a damn thing.

No I think they should all be black. The 67 grille went into 1968. I have had and seen 68 cars with the black paint in the grille area.

I found black paint on mine which was an April 67 production.

    The black paint question

I had the opportunity to talk to the big cheeses at the Porsche Museum
restoration dept and asked this question, after a day of deliberation I was told it depended on the color and their was no set rule !

I plan on looking further into this when I do some archive research
