    '73 RS Lightweight

    . . . . in Carmel:

    http://djmconsultants.net/73porscherscarreralw.html

    White/blue on black
    VIN = 9113601437
    65k miles

    '. . . Imported into U.S. . . in 2002 and sold directly to Roger Werner ex CEO of Speed Channel . . . repurchased . . . 4 years later and sold . . . to a private collector in Southern Florida . . . recently sold to another collector in Denver . . .

Originally delivered in Italy . . . never been restored or modified . . . and all the body panels are believed to be 100% original. Showing no rust or any accident damage . . . The car was repainted years ago to a very high standard. The seats, mats, carpet, etc are all original to the car and the motor and gearbox are also totally original.

. . . needs nothing. Perhaps, at most, 1500 miles have been driven since the car was imported yet it has full service history since. A numbers matching, unrestored and un-modified . . . Car has the rare RS supplement, tools and all documents including a . . . very detailed and professional inspection report . . .'

I heard about this car when it first came over. Looks like it logged more frequent-flier miles than road miles, since.

    What a shame . . .

I may be nit picking here, but should an Italian car have the front turn lights similar to the picture(a '71 T) ?
Over to our Latin contributors !!
I am not 100% familiar with details on Italian delivered 911s of the early '70s - curious minds want to know ....

    Cheers,
    Dennis.

Yes, it should have the shorter orange part, unique to italian-delivered cars.
I think that this car was exported from Italy many years ago, initially to UK.

    Yes
I have it in my records as being sold many years ago (possibly 2002) by Edmund Harris in the UK with those NON Italian front turn lights as can be seen in this photo from the time.

    Andrea,
The front turn lights can easily be changed over but I really meant the small round amber repeater lights(Fiat?) in the guard side itself as in my T picture.
Should the Italian RSs have had these small round lights or were they not used in 1973 ?
If the small lights should have been there in 1973,then maybe the front guards have been changed at some stage.
    ... just curious ...

    Cheers,
    Dennis.

The car was for sale in the UK at Autofarm in 1990 - from what I remember it was quite 'scruffy'.

I think it had already been in the US before coming to the UK.
