Interesting that there are 3 used books for sale, and all at higher than new pricing. One would think that a book like this would be kept for reference, thus rarely available used. I would perceive the high used price of an indication that the list price is much higher than the offering prices on Amazon, thus there is a huge discount.

I just ordered it as I am getting ready to put my engine back together. I like to get ALL the details right and some, literally, small things like washers and nut types, or even finishes, can be a little confusing. Hope this book helps. Thanks.

I bought the book as a download for $13.99 from lulu.com:

The focus as the title suggests is the assembly phase and it's
covered well with lots of little pro-tips included.

I'm pretty happy with it, if it saves me from making one small
mistake then it's paid for itself 10 times over.

The reason that we have not yet heard of this book, although it was published in January, is that it os being published and sold on-demand by www.lulu.com, which evidently does not market it through traditional book distribution channels. As a major Porsche bookseller, I'm trying to find a way to buy and stock this book in quantity.

Book reading folks,

I just got the $22 plus shipping book from Amazon and I must honestly say I am disappointeed. Why? For example, because it is only 38 pages and the photos are unnumbered. There may be some good tips but if one compares to Bruce's or Wayne's books which are both 200+ pages and chockfull of information. Well, this book is a ripoff. Sorry but that's the way I see it. BTW, many Non-Stock, not-original pictures of engines in this book. If your goal is a good rebuild as well as correct OEM cosmetics, forgetaboutit.
