    early seat problem

    Champs,

My early drivers seat (standard / original style) for my 65 911 are 'ratchetting' (if that how you spell it) / clicking back as I drive until they are in a very 'reclined' position.

    Makes driving v interesting!

Any body has this problem? Any remedies? / Pics of alterations done?

I guess adding to the 'cog' which has prob worn down is the answer. Are there spare parts out there?

    any comments welcome.

    thanks

    craig

I'd try pulling the reclining mechanism, cleaning it and re-lubricating it. Over the years, the grease may have solidified and it can't move freely enough to properly "catch".

Just guessing, though I've been waiting for mine to do the same and force me into taking action...
