    RHD 901 Restoration from Australia

    Hi Guys

I'm currently restoring my 69 911 at home. I've been keeping a thread going on www.typ901.org, but I know you can't see photos unless you're a member. So I've cranked up a simultaneous thread on Pelican's Paint and Bodywork forum with photos...

Wow, I really applaud your work on precise, sturdy repairs. I love the color. Arrow Blue?

Amazing work. I hate seeing all the hidden rust, makes me worry what might be lurking in the dark crevices. Looks like she'll easily last another 40 years!

great work John. Very very interesting.
Am about to receive my 69T Tangerine RHD back after new parcel shelf metal and numerous other rust areas cut out and repaired. I'm lucky enough to have found a real artist sheet metalworker. (thread will follow)
Interesting to see what the inside of the transmission tunnel looks like, mine shows surface rust but i'm guessing, without cutting the entire floor off like you've done, it's impossible to really get at ..!
    cheers Paul

    Thanks for the compliments guys.

Flieger, yep Arrow Blue. But it will be going back to factory Ossi Blue.

I would have posted it in full here, but I'm not a paid member Having 'fessed, I suppose I better...

Ah, an Aussie Ossi Blue 901. That's a long way from Oslo.

That is a cool color, also. I like the subtle teal glow.
