    Didn't the 1971 911T's all come with Zenith carbs? And MFI was used for the 1972 and early 1973 T's?

    Yes, this is my understanding as well. What is the easiest way to identify whether this is the original engine? It does have the yellow fan shroud.

    Sounds like you have a 72 or early 73 engine if it has MFI and a yellow engine cover.1971 cover is black. Tom

    The engine number is the easiest way. And the motor number is from a 72T.
