Is anyone going? Will there be an R Gruppe gathering? There really isn't much info on the 356 site...not sure where to get details.
Thanks.
Paul

Dear Friends of the Steve McQueen Car Show,
*
24 Hours………… or* less away but who’s counting!
*
Because of the increased enthusiasm and perceived attendance we will open the gates at 7:00 AM for display cars and vendors.
*
We have advertised that the gates will open to the public at 10:00 AM but we won’t be turning anyone away who wishes to enter earlier. Obviously if you arrive early it will give you an opportunity to look at the other cars before the general public enters.* We’ll have coffee and donuts available to purchase.
*
We have a number of items we will be auctioning off in a Silent Auction Format.* These items will be on display for your review.
*
Marshall Terrill will be there to autograph a limited number of his new book “Steve McQueen, A Tribute to the King of Cool”.* The book sells for $95.00 and its well worth it in my opinion and we will be able to take credit cards
*
Pricing is the same as the last two years; $20.00 for car and driver to display and $10.00 for each additional passenger, children under 12 Free.* If you’re only interested in attending the price is $10.00 per person, children under 12 are free.
*
The Bullitt International Club is participating and we expect they will bring in 40 cars or more .We also have a special prize in the ‘Goodie Bag” for all Mustangs’ that will be displayed compliments of Ford Motor Company and Portrait Homes*
*
Chad McQueen and will bring his “New” 68 Mustang and has agreed to sign dash boards in consideration for a donation to the Boys Republic.
*
*
*
Thanks, I hope you’ll plan on attending and if you have any questions please email me or call me on my cell phone.*
*
Sincerely,
*

'72 911 S Targa 2.4 w/MFI
. . . from Saturday:
1) Flathead Ford
2) '51(?) Ford Country Squire
3) Surf board and roof rack details. Whaddiya think that board weighs?
4) One of several --- this is a '67
5) '68 Charger (de-barbequed but still crusty). I think the one in the movie was a black-on-black, with dog bowls. Love these cars. A boat, but IMHO the best-looking year: great coke-bottle shape, tidy rear lights and fender fill, almost no chrome, big ole bazooka pipes poking out from under, looks fast . . . even wearing a vinyl roof.

1) The Dunkel's Carrera II . . .
2) . . . with probably the most expensive license plate at the show . . .
3) '76 Turbo Carrera, in paint-to-sample slate grey . . .
4) . . . ex-Steve McQueen
5) Got flairs?
Rick Kreiskott
1) 'A' Cab . . . . with Turbo rings. Don't.
2) Crystal blue?
3) Line-up
4) Nice little black-plate Pre-A Speedie . . .
5) . . . and an '89 G50 version
Rick Kreiskott
1) Real Mini
2) Built 1275 with alternator
3) Austin-Healey 100-4(?)
4) Love the Healey's trick reclining wind-screen feature
5) 280SEL 3.5 'vert. This car was done: spotless chrome, big phat seats, amazing wood-and-chrome dash. Montana plates --- maybe to duck California's extortionate reg fees
Rick Kreiskott
1) '67 Mustang GT . . .
2) . . . 390cid . . .
3) . . . with a stick. Touchdown! Top-loader? Check out the door handle, steering wheel, and dash details. 'Total performance,' indeed.
4) 'Bullets' . . .
5) . . . and another line-up
Rick Kreiskott
1) '66 Shelby . . .
2) . . . fitted with a Paxton
3) Vintage Chevy pick-up. Big chop, burnt Orange Pearl metallic on orange primer, pin-strped
4) Custom hydraulics . . . with a twist. Or should I say a web. Check out the workmanship
5) The End
