    FS: Parting out a motor

Looks like I'll be parting out my motor, sort of a shame since it's a good little powerplant. I will not drop and part and ship until I've reached critical mass on sales. If anyone wants the whole thing, from muffler to clutch and everything in between, $2500 takes it as a 1 day plug and play motor.

Webers, complete from manifold to airbox: $1000

    Newish driver side SSI: $400

    Passenger side heat exchanger: $200

Fan and shroud and alternator: $250

    Bosch distributor: $150

Muffler: $200 (it does sound awesome) SOLD

    Heat back date tin: $125

All other surrounding engine tin: $100

    Coil: $50

    Longblock: $750

here are the leakdown #s, done hot.

Puff of smoke on start up if car has sat for a day or two (not a cloud, but noticeable) disappears instantly, car does not burn any oil. I've driven it for about 5000 miles since pulling it out of a barn, stored for 10 years. Only changed the oil, put a new belt on and crudely adjusted the carbs and it runs like a top, though one that I think if you adjusted the valves, carbs and points properly, you'd be well rewarded. As it is, it's a strong little motor.

I'm sorry, it's a no frills, but spritely 69T motor. It's the kind of motor you throw in your car when yours is being rebuilt or put in a roller just to get it going.

For years there's been debate on who has "dibs" when buying stuff here and on Pelican. Many folks go with the first person who says "I'll take it." Others go with the first to show interest requesting more information.

With so little interest in the major components, I have to put this motor on eBay. If the carbs had sold, I could start parting and shipping.

When it doesn't sell on eBay, I will just drop it and start parting it for you guys committed to the smaller parts.

    Thank you for understanding.

Drove the car yesterday. I think if someone were to drive this motor, it'd be an easy sale and while I have no documentation, I have to think that cams were put into this motor, probably when the new SSI was installed and the whole thing plugged into the 73. It feels as strong as my 69E ever did.
