    weber carbs,linkage and stacks etc.

Before I list these on the classifieds, can someone provide me with a value
for the set up? I can't list without a price under the rules of the forum. PM
me or just reply. The carbs are "40's". I'll post pix later. As always, thanks for helping a new guy with passion for the "early 911's".

IMHO, if they are common IDA3Cs, they start at $1000 complete as cosmetically OK, solid, well used, rebuildable cores with factory manifolds and linkages. This takes sloppy shafts into account. IDS 40s have a specific application and these numbers don't apply. . If they are IDS, update this post to reflect that and I'll share my thoughts.

If they are are used, but very pretty, are complete, known runners with tight shafts and no issues/question marks, $1500 is the ceiling, for the above. An as new set, never used and rebuilt from a reputable shop can get near $1800.

Add ported PMO manifolds (say for an S spec car, with 36mm bores in the manifolds), as well as PMO highboys, you can usually add another $100 to this number.

With PMO fuel rails, you can add at least another $100.

Add K&N filters in great shape and add another $100 or so.

Net-net, $1800 is about the ceiling for used, Italian built Weber 40s with all the goods. $2200 is max for rebuilt units.
