German Car Day at Larz Anderson

There was a great turnout with good weather for all the attendees today. It was tough to say which brand was the hit of the show bit I would have to give the nod to the abundant 356's that showed up.

One of the cleanest engine bays that I've ever seen in this silver 72S (I believe it's a 2.7), a very rare early Audi Coupe, and tasteful chrome 15" steelies on this Karmann Ghia.

Hi Paul, and thanks for posting the great pix. I am sorry that I didn't find any of the other early 911 people there. I arrived late, so I had to park Albert Blue on the field off to the side.

This was a remarkable turn out of some remarkable Porsches, but the M1 was my favorite car there.

Tom Gentz owns this car. There is a two part series on its build in the new Hemmings "Sports and Exotics". Tom is very active in the local 356 club, President at the moment, very active group that really drive their cars.
He has done most of the work on this car by himself. Power is a twin plug 2.7, megaphones are very cleverly welded to a muffler/very cool. Check out the Hemmings article well worth the read.

Is this your car Tom? Nice! I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to meet yesterday, maybe at the next event
