    Nick

Great photos of RS1408; one of the few to have the large Carrera lettering on the tail.

here are a couple of pictures from back in the day when it was a rally car for Gunther Spindler and Roland Klose. I take it from your post that Spindler still owns the car.

the first 2 pics are from the RS book, the latter showing off the distinctive lettering - note the metal bumperettes at that stage - now plastic by the looks of it.

the other two were sent to me by Nikolay in Bulgaria and show the car at the 1975 Barum Rally, where Gunther Spindler & Roland Klose finished 8th

    Wonderful pic's Hugh.

I did not get the gents name but recall I was told he was the original owner and that the plate was also original to the car. He was happy for me to post pics for us all to enjoy......

    WOW !!!

Stellar photos of the Factory's Museum, and of the Historic Carrera RS.

Truly great reading and viewing here......such rich History coming alive in front of a modern day masterpiece of architecture.

Art of the highest order...........in the way of structure, historic automotive achievement, racing, and modern day vehicular form.

Emanating from a desire to build a car, because one did not exist that suited the builder.

Thanks for the GREAT photos !
    Best Regards,
