    Any interest in Early 911 wall clocks?

    I've been considering getting a few of these made and have most of the art files completed. I was just curious to see if there would be any interest in these if I were to have a larger batch made. I don't have a firm commitment from my manufacturer yet, but figure they would probably go for $35-$40 each if it works out. I'm just looking for a show of hands and/or any input on the design.

    I can't promise anything, but at the very least I'm going to have one made for my own garage. Right now this is just a rendering of the finished product. They would be 21cm in diameter (about 8.25")

    **Note: The needle is the minute hand & the redline is the hour hand (it's black and orange so you only see the orange)

    Thoughts?

    Pretty cool, Mike... but graphically, clocks are read by the hands, so there's no need to number the face with 12 at the top.
    A standard tach face would be fine, or better yet a 10,000 face. Just a thought. Make it 12" diameter shop size and I'm in.

    How about a green numbered tach too?

    I would buy one regardless, so count me in.

    I'm in, however, I would prefer 12" diameter as well...if it's possible.

    I'm in - but I agree that regular tach numbers are best!

    Thanks for the warm response guys.

    I've been chatting about this offline, and I realized two things;

    1. This has to be at least a 12" clock
    2. It may not be obvious that the redline is the hour hand (it's actually black and orange so you don't see the connection to the movement).

    This won't be an off-the-shelf job, but something tailored to our group. I'll do a mock-up of the regular tach numbering, but I believe without a more obvious hour hand the design won't be as clear nor as elegant. I will however keep an open mind.

    Thanks to everyone so far who has chimed in. I'd love to realize this vision and get these made.

    Keep it coming,

    -Mike
