    License Plate . . .

. . . dates to 1970 --- looks like the proverbial original California car.

'Hell hole,' huh? Ha! --- very funny. I've heard that that whole battery tray area can get pretty nasty.

The thing that struck me about this dash6 is that it hasn't been drastically messed with . . . just a $200 re-spray, some repro wheels and a bunged-up rocker (maybe?).

Nice little hooptie. Buy it and drive for free . . .

Agreed. Leave it stock and iron the wrinkles out, mighty fun bang for buck.

    Wish it were closer...

Agreed (engine bay treatment). Paint on hoses however, is a tip-off to a budget paint job. Regulars here know I've been poking around for an unmolested sixer. Mostly watching from sidelines lately due to other obligations and trying to keep my search to no more than one state away. There's a nice looking one on the PCA site that's local (170 miles), but asking $39K and no response to my email, so....

Agreed, this one looks like a reasonable infusion of effort and $$ could make a very nice ride. I too, have seen much worse "hell-hole" pics than that. Battery tray been replaced, perhaps??

That hell hole doesn't look too bad...but I'd want to see what's underneath the rocker covers.

Agreed, could be a great buy.

Unmolested 914? I wish you well on that journey. You might have to look the other way at some things.

    Good luck,

Yeah, I know. Sort of like marrying that nice, sweet gal you met at the strip club. Emailed seller. We'll see what happens.

While you're at it, you might want to check under the hood to verify the little lady's still got her "original equipment". Any Bondo and chicken wire are a bad sign.

Has anyone looked at this car?
Seems odd to me it has not sold.
I might be passing through Sacramento on Monday and might take a look.
    Any updates?
