Anyone in Michigan able to look at car for me?

Need to get a pre-PPI and rec. for PPI location for a car. Biggest concern of course is rust.

    Appreciate any assistance,

    Erik

    PPI in Michigan . . .

    Hi, Erik . . .

I PPI'd a '71 'S' (VIN 91113000115) in Michigan about two years ago, before I found my car. I worked with Chris Braden at an outfit called Munk's Motors:

    Michigan Referrals

Is the car in the Detroit area, another Jeff Jones, owner of Automotive Techniques, Novi MI, (248)615-8964

If you may need shipping, a local PCA and 356 Registry member has a transport company Joe Jakubus, Jakubus Transportation, (734) 837-1118.

Joe does the "transporting" himself and he has an outstanding reputation.

I sent you a private message.

Unfortunately, nothing but bad experiences with all Michigan/Detroit area shops in regard to EARLY 911's. Example: one of the shops mentioned here charged a friend 1-hour labor to "research" how to remove the rocker trim from his car. Not sure what is worse, the 1 hour labor charge or the fact they had to actually research it I could go on and on with similar stories on pretty much any shop you can name around here.

I tow my car 7 hours and across 2 state lines for service.

Thanks Curt/all. Have a Pelican looking the car over today who has actually built some motors so have asked if he can do mechanical PPI if car looks good tub-wise.

Comes down to me and a magnet and awl i suppose!

Will likely be trailering car back myself if i do buy.
