the ceramic coating also helps with heat control as i understand it (keeps more of the heat inside the exhaust instead of radiating into the engine bay )- I had mine done, including the muffler etc, a decade or so ago and, apart from a couple of stains, they look like new

    Interesting.

Maybe I'll do the same to my NOS USA-made SSI's.

    Custom Plate . . .

    . . . FR 10032 --- sent today . . .

'. . . I would like a quote for you to produce a unique Swiss FRONT license plate --- see the attached photograph. This was a personal plate produced for a resident of Fribourg --- text = FR 10032*, black lettering with a thin black surround. This size appears to have been common at the time --- see the 2nd photograph --- text = GE 64494 . . .'

    Sent to . . .
    https://www.licenseplates.tv/index.p...ource=about_us

Found these Guys a while, ago --- and contacted them once, but got no response, soooo . . . trying again

The rear plates look to be regular/available/reproduceable items --- but not this style of front

*'FR 10032' is Mr Siffert's personal plate

    More Custom Plate . . .

    . . . received yesterday --- like, right away, almost . . .

'. . . Please click here to order front Swiss plates:
    https://www.licenseplates.tv/license...-custom-number

Please note these plates did not have a painted border but cars had a frame secure plate . . .'

That was painless! Looks like I'll need to round up a front Euro plate attachment/bracket set-up, at some point --- although I doubt I'll ever mount the front one. But as long as I'm getting re-pro CH plates? . . . may as well get both

    $90 + $95 + free shipping (in the US)

    Last thing to get? . . .

    . . . is a 'CH' sticker --- for the engine cover

    Required, back then

    More Custom Plate . . .

    . . . beautiful, high-quality bits . . . crisp embossing, vibrant colors, smooth finishes

. . . but it looks like the front one 's missing the 'dot'?

    Or not?

That missing dot will drive you CRAZY…

Those plates are still wonderful period details for your car. Really neat.
