congrats Mike, the 912 engine is smaller by more than half compared to the black car (3.6), and it's still gonna rock ya in that drivers seat. . .

Great thread and the cars look great. here is my 66, 912 coupe pretty well sorted with some mods and the project 67 912 targa that needs is soft window back.
And i have to say the 66 coupe out handles my 71 911 Targa, we will see after the raised spindles and new T bars!!

    Regards

Mike, great looking 912. And, I couldn't agree with you more on your assessment of its plus and minuses. I have three 912s myself; a '66 that I've owned for 32 yrs (I'm 2nd owner), an all original '67 SWT (orig paint & interior w/all records since new), and a restored '69 S/R Coupe. I've "modded" the '69 just a bit with side scripts, houndstooth seat inserts (it's polo red/black), and wood wheel. I love driving these cars around town and even on trips. Of course, nothing like a strong 911 on a road trip but around town I usually just hop in one of the 912s and never have a thought about a lack of power. The light feeling more than offsets it's lack of hp. Regardless of an early 911 or 912, they are all beautiful in my eyes!
