    part number 901 107 696 40

I am trying to find out what part number 901 107 696 40 is used for. I have a new one and have checked several websites, but come up empty. It is a gray colored round foam insulation piece. It looks like it would go around the neck of the gas filler from inside the fender. I checked that, but it seems small in diamter.

    Any help is appreciated.

It's for a 914-6. Click here for a diagram from Auto Atlanta- # 48 in the list.

It's a sleeve that fits over the oil lines from the tank to the case. The part number as well as several others have been superceded by generic versions.

Thanks guys, your the best. I owned a factory 914/6 a few years ago and must have bought the part at that time. I will not be using it, so if anyone can use it, I will mail it for free.

John, that is a very nice offer, I am doing a mechanical restoration on a 71 914/6, (see www.carparcusa.com) mostly original and would love to have that part.
Any shipping cost gladly reimbursed, let me know.

    Thanks, Henk.
