    RS 0486 at RM Auctions

    Check this out:
    http://www.rmauctions.com/featurecar...rID=r338&fc=0#

With an umlimited budget a bit strange that the factory could not source the correct outside mirror, didn't do the Fuchs wheels with the proper finish, speaker grill not as original and I doubt it should have the 300 km/hr speedo

Curious to see if it will bring the estimate of $350-550K

    Have fun, Cees

I also looked this over. It also struck me as odd that the factory would not add another oil cooler....

    $350/550k!?

That extimate is really optimistic , I doubt that even a real 20000 mls from new, original paint touring car would bring that kind of money!

As a reference, #0110 (far from perfect...) was recently sold at the LeMans Classic auction for Eur147k/$185k. http://www.artcurial.com/fr/asp/full...1855+++++127+&

BTW Cees, I recently met the ex-owner of your RS...

Yup, it did have the Scott St. Peter look to it. Also, the engine shroud looks rasberry in color, not the factory orange. It looks like a nice car, is a series one, but the estimates seem off. It will be interesting to see what it brings at auction.

#110 looked like a very tired RS and it fetched 185K. Perhaps, this car will bring 275-300K.

    Andrea,
Multiple touring RSs sold for over $330,000 USD this year. There are other RSs that have sold for over $500,000 USD in the recent past. With that being said, cars have also sold as inexpensively (relatively speaking) as $165,000 USD. It has been stated many times the best cars are usually traded privately and out of the spotlight.

I also saw one being stitched together around a tub, block and vin plates. If I was in the market I would bite the gold coin to make sure it isn't chocolate....
