    Fuel Pump# MFI

What is the part number for MFI fuel pump for 73S? I have a 73E core and wondering if the pumps varied through the years and if T,E, and S are the same.
    My 73E core is a 0580 970 001 010
Got a leak from my 73S today and it's probably the pump. Going to check the lines also. Anyone got a source for purchasing a fuel pump? How about experiences with pump rebuilding?
    Thanks in advance.

    Pump numbers

I was recently looking for the same thing actually. The number I came up with was:
    Bosch P/N 0 580 970 001

I don't believe that there was a difference between S and E pumps.

    Cheers

I think the 001 is used on all MFI cars, regardless of T/E/S or year. I am using the 001 on my 2.7RS spec in my '71 911S, anyway.

That's what I've determined as well.

    Bobby

the PET number for the 73 MFI pump is 901 608 105 00 and that applies to all MFI engines -the last time i got one from Porsche (back in 2004) that was still the number on the invoice and the box.

However they also have a Bosch number as well which i think is 0580970001. That is also the number stamped onto the bottom of the one i took out of my car. I am not sure what the extra 010 that you are quoting is though

so IF you one is from an E it should be fine for an S or even an RS

i think that i have seen that the pumps are available again - but for drug money
I am not sure on the history of rebuilt ones - i have heard different stories but kept my old one in case i needed to go down that route.
