Thread: A Cocomats question for the style mavens: matching or contrasting?

  1. #1

A Cocomats question for the style mavens: matching or contrasting?

Ok, let's say you had a blue (Seablau) car with a tan interior.

Would you put down matching tan coloured Cocomats or go for a more 70's flared trouser approach with blue mats to pick up on the exterior?

Does anyone have any pics of the latter contrasting idea?

(Yes, I know - I like to ask the big questions...)

Given your penchant for white shoes & speedsters, I think the blue would be a better fit.
    Sorry no pics.

Blue would be my pick to give a little contrast.

I've never liked 70's flared trousers, so I'd go the tan.

    Tan.
Because: Only your exterior color is actually blue.
The interior color is tan (seats, carpets etc) while the dashboard and door parts are black - which is already a contrast.
I would not add a third contrast but rather stick to tan even its texture is different to seats and carpets.
If you do like a contrast color for the interior, use a tan/black carpet to refer to interior colors and maybe use a front and rear
    4-piece carpet set.

    Thanks guys.

Raj / 911T71- I like the idea of the black and tan and the Jaspe is a retro way of doing just that.

Ps. Jappy - I think you'll find its AW who rocks the white shoes...

Now that I've seen the picture of the tan with black accent I agree that it could work as long as it's not too busy. I would say 90% tan and 10% of a slightly darker tone. Maybe chocolate.

For the sake of completeness - here is the Jaspe:

No question. The right choice is tan.
