    Correct 1973 Clock?

    Hello All-
I'm trying to figure out if my car (completion date 11/72) should be sporting a "Quartz Zeit" or a "Kienzle" Clock with the silver button at the center adjuster.

I've tried searching, but haven't come up with a clear answer. Of course there are very few "clear" answers in this hobby.

    Cheers

    Kent,

The 'quiet' quartz movement came later... yes, you should have the silver button in the middle.

North Hollywood Speedo can set you up with a later quiet quartz movement with an early silver button face.

When the period clocks start making noise they can get louder then your radio, conversation, and even your engine...... ask me how I know....

    Hope this helps

    Tick-Tock

    Very helpful, thanks Chuck.
I've got a line on a Kienzle clock that's been converted to Quartz by N-Hollywood, so I'll get the somewhat quieter Quartz ticking, which I shouldn't hear over the engine.
