Is this a genuine RSR speedo????

I have had this speedo sitting around for years and wondering if it is what I think it is???

    Part#911 641 503 29 Dated 10/74

It's a little beat up, but if it's real what's it worth?

    Thanks for the help.

More likely to be from a 2.7 Euro Carrera ...

    Andy,

Thanks for the reply. I know they were very similar speedo's if not the same?

I was cruising around on the board and came across this for sale listing:

    http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...&highlight=rsr

Same exact part# and same exact date, question is, are they real???

Yes, it's the same as I had in my 1974 Carrera 2.7 – unterestingly, the factory brochure I have for the '74 Carrera shows a 250kph speedometer, not the 300kph fitted.

Interesting for sure...thing is ElevenParts has one listed on their website, same part# and a 5/73 date code...he is asking 1500euro!!

I am thinking about selling this thing, but, if it is not that rare, don't want to stick someone on it, but if it is, would like to get what it's worth.

There's something not quite right about the 300kph speedo that Marco M is selling ...

    - the part number (ending in .29) printed on the inside is for the later version (like Peter's shown above) whereas the photos show the earlier style as fitted to the later 2.7 RS Carreras & the 2.8 RSR models.

The correct part number for the earlier version (with the central silver 'button') is 911.964.503.00

Peter - to answer your original question, the same version of the 300 kph speedo (later style without the central silver 'button') was used in the '74-'76 2.7 Euro Carrera (most markets but not UK, Australia which had 180 mph speedo), 3.0 RS & 3.0 RSR models.

    RSR speedo

Another 300 km/hr 72/73 speedo is the 911.530.530.00, special for size 50 tires.
