    Marek,
Can you tell me Maximum diameter of trumpet they will cover. I have Hi Butterfly and I've seen a couple of pictures of cloth covers used. This picture shows the engines in the Penske Pits with cloth covers (similar, but one piece) If this will work for my car - I would like to purchase a set.
    Thanks,

    Sam

I forgot to make a follow up on this
I have seen many different versions of this
I made this repro version of a set which I belive was orginal
    here covering a 46
the leather strap is a bit stiff when new

NOTE the rubber is not super tight , its how it was orginal on the version I have
some had no rubber at all, just a thread
it covers the pipe and "surounds" it and close it fine, but its a bit "loose "
    very hard to explain

But they are perfect, and does the job just fine

    material is offcause fuel resistence
the diameter of the cap is approx 7,3 cm
priced at 70 € incl postage

I will keep you ( Jd) posted shortly on the tanks ,dont worry they are comming, no price change
even did all the tirestrapīs , 3rd bash of 100 filler kits as well ,so hang on
reason for the delay ,was a mojor deal / offer that had to fall in place, and I dident knew how to proceed
due to exclusive rights etc etc
I will soon post a pic of the production ,so you can see it
I will offer them as complete tanks as well , they will be in the 1800-2000 euro price range

in the mean time, buy some of these carb covers

or stay tune for the alu door skins next week

    take care
