    CIS to Weber conversion question...

    Guys,

I am gathering up the last bits to put 40 IDAs on my 2.7 CIS and I cant seem to find in the manuals the throttle bracket part that mounts to the front of the engine near the bell housing area for the throttle linkage. I am trying to figure out if the CIS one will work with the Webers or do I need to start looking for one?

    Thanks in advance!

The manifold has a shaft in it that the bell crank mounts on. You would use a standard bell crank such as would have been used on a early carbureted 911.

Happened to have my engine out yesterday for some final mechanical "sorting " details and remembered this thread......please see picture of the bell-crank and the connection between throttle linkage from gas pedal to engine-mounted portion of carb linkage. ( Mine are PMO manifolds, but the shaft Mayo's talking about should be in same location and dimensions on OEM manifold ).
