    Rebuilt 2.2 E Motor

    This is a rebuilt 2.2 E motor that I purchased 2 years ago. I bought this motor for a SWB project, but I ended up buying a complete 68 SWB. It's been sitting in my garage ever since. Block is bolted and torqued. Cams timed. Rods/Pistons/Pins balanced. Some assembly still needed. Includes tensioner upgrade, SSIs, Webers, manifolds, linkage and air cleaner...Motor is complete. The Webers will need to be gone thru and the motor is dirty and needs detailing. Engine #6195911

    The bad news is I cannot find the paperwork to this motor, although I do still have the contact info from whom I purchased it from. With that said, I would check the motor before installing it. My price reflects that deficiency. Local pickup only. $4500 obo

    Engine number 6195911 is a 1969 911T 2.0 liter (not a 2.2 911E)

    According to the number that you list 6195911 that engine is a 1969 911T... In the name 911E the E = Einspritzen ( MFI injection)

    Porsche engine numbering system...

    6= 6 Cylinder
    1 =911T (2= 911E and 3 = 911S)
    9 - 1969 (0 = 1970, 1 = 1971 etc)

    The last 4 are the engine number...

    The Heads, Cams and Case etc on a 911T were different and never designed for MFI so it was not a 911E. Plus the 911E had a counterweighted crank and the T does not...

    Plus 1969 it was a 2.0 not a 2.2....

    It might have 2.2 E P/Cs but that does not make the engine a 911E..

    Even it has all E parts(Heads, Cams, Crank etc)with receipts it is still a 1969 T built to E specs...

    Did dporsche74 rebuilt it himself or have someone else do it? If so who?
    Was the engine on a dyno after the last build?

    dporsche74 rebuilt this motor. Never on the dyno. If it was me, I would open the motor up and inspect it.

    The best "dyno" is the back end of a 911.

    I wouldn't open it up. If it turns by hand, plug it in a car and run it. That'll tell you pretty quickly what you've got.
