Selling my solid lightweight '59 A Coupe race car. Built for the Carrera Panamericana race
in Mexico and ran in the late 90's. Was 1st in class until the last day when it seized a piston
due to crappy Mexican low octane fuel. Ended up 3rd overall in class. Has disc brakes with
Fuchs alloys and 741 gearbox. The tall gears that were in the box for the velocity stages of that
race were replaced with short BAE3C gearing in 2002. Engine recently completely rebuilt with
one DE event on it. Approximately 5 hours on the engine and gearbox. Very solid chassis with
complete roll cage, fire system, fuel cell and 2 front mounted oil coolers Only rust is in jack spurs
and some in battery box floor. Unkinked hood and decent panel fit for a race car. Interior is gutted
with only 2 race seats. Has plexiglass windows with window regulators and door frames removed to save
weight. With a gear change it would be ready to run the Panamericana race again this October or
with new tires and an oil change it's ready for vintage racing right now. Or, if you have an extra engine,
plug it in and drive it on the street as it's still complete with lights and wiper motor $38.5K OBO
