SWB parcel shelf eye bolt mounts for harness

Does anyone know the size/threads of harness mount (eye bolts mount) on the swb parcel shelf?

I am looking at installing some belts in the future, but need eye bolts for up there, and not sure what will fit.

A bastard size Harry, my 67 11x1.25. You can get them from Bill Rich, same guy that makes belts they will come yellow zinc coated if you want them black just dip in that liquid plastic you can buy @ hardware store. If you do either bead blast or dip in acid to remove zinc sticks great then.

I have no problem with the theory that all men are created equal.

    hmmmm OK.

Do you know if the same size that is on the lap belts would fit in the parcel shelf?

M11 by 1.25 has a more common name: 7/16 20. Reading the 240z forums (shhh) that have these bolts holding seat belts in, this is an SAE deal. Rather than qualify a new bolt for approval they used what was already approved. 7/16 20.... But w a metric name. Tried it this afternoon. Screws right in.

They are the same size as the lap belt eye bolt threads.

As far as I'm aware all seatbelt/harness mounts - whether on the rear shelf, inner sill, tunnel or door pillar - are 7/16" UNF

That size is for the shoulder belt mount on the quareter panel of 67 and ealier 911 and is also the same size for late 356B and 356Cs. It is not the same size as a 68 or 69 with parcel shelf mounts. that size is 7/16 with 20 TPI. I have included pictures of a parcel shelf mount and also a "factory" eye bolt and the more comon universal one. The "factory" one is the one that is covered with a black ruberized coating. They are the same size thread (SAE) as the lap belt mounts.

OK Mark, you confused me. Your 67 does have metric captive nuts in the quarter panels for a shoulder belt. They are 8 X 1.25. 68s got the larger SAE size. It is important to note that not all SWB cars are the same! When asking questions it is imperative that a year is also included.
