Hi Guys,
I have a set Nadellas needing a rebuild. Does anyone know the specs on the needle bearings? Possibly bearing number or OD/ID size?
thanks,
Brad

Are you trying to rebuild the inner or outer? I seem to remember that a local machinist used to rebuild the outers for us with Datsun 510 units.

Thanks Peter. The Nadella site does have some good technical pdf's. Sifting through them tonight.
Hi Ed, I am working on the outer joints. Right now trying to figure out how the retaining clips come out. I looks like to get them out they need to be destroyed.
Thanks Guys,
Brad

I have a pair of Nadellas with good joints I dont need. $200 plus shipping from N.Y.
Grady Clay mentions rebuilding them regularly in the old days. All he says is that he used commonly available parts. Perhaps he should be contacted directly, and see what rebuilding tips he can provide.

I seem to remember back in the day, a machine shop I used found that Ford Falcon u-joint needle bearings worked.

Has anybody ever done more research on rebuilding the nadellas?
JK (I just figured out who you are!)
I don't think you will need that info!
Nardells used to be rebuilt regularly, back in the day. They would get machined to accept a garden variety Ujoint with sirclips. I believe that some version of a Mopar joint was used. The demand for rebuilding fell way off in the mid 80s and all of the rebuilders (there weren't many) went on to do other things. In the interest of authenticity, the demand for such a service may just increase.
Ciao
