    Front brake locking up

    Hi , I just finished a restoration on a 1970 911 T
I have a problem with the right front wheel always locking up under braking.!
The car has SC calipers in front !
I changed a couple brake lines in the restoration process and put in the stainless small lines to the calipers.......... Does the lenght of the lines have an impact on braking pressure ?

All four calipers are in good condition and operate correctly ???
    Any leads appreciated........!

    Could be a corner-balance/alignment issue.

Does the car pull to one side under braking, before it locks up? If so, then the left front caliper may not be braking properly.

Nope, should all be OK unless you have 'kinked' a line in which case it would pull badly when you brake.

The length of lines is not a significant issue. I always think it is a bit more elegant to have them similar lengths but its not essential.

    Brakes

Hi Max, thanks, yes the car is just out of the alignment shop, I also noticed the
car is not straight, rear right side is a bit higher than the left side....
So much for corner balancing.......... I will have this corrected and see
    if it improves braking......

    Thanks

    Brakes

Hi Chris,,,,,,,, I did bleed the brake lines and get a good sprinkle out when I open the bleeders............ ! If a line was kinked would`nt it be showing there ??
I will get the car out again this evening and look for any pulling ! Thanks

When you get a proper corner-balance using scales, ask for equal front weights. Also, remember to put your weight in the driver seat and some fuel in the tank (or whatever configuration of passenger or luggage load you normally drive with).

Some people prefer a corner-balance with equal diagonal weights for more consistent cornering right/left but the equal front weights makes for better braking. You cannot usually get both weight splits equal.
