It is finally happening…Porsche enthusiasts are beginning to realize that the G-body Porsches, especially the 3.0 and 3.2 engine cars, are incredible values. I have been advising many buyers about how wonderful these cars are to drive; how durable and relatively maintenance free they are; and, what incredible bargains they are. Specifically, I’ve grown a soft spot for the 1984-1986 3.2 Carreras. I know the hype for the G50 tranny cars and yes, they are very reliable. However, there is a compromise. The G50 is such a heavy transmission, that the light and nibble feel of the early 911s are a bit lost. The 915s really feel light and the engine spools up much quicker. Plus, I’ve found that if you don’t over-modify these cars and don’t smash the gearbox, these transmissions can last well over 200,000 miles.

This particular example is no exception. It appears that this Porsche has never been abused in its life. The paint appears to be all original except for the hood, which was probably repainted due to normal rock chips. The glass is all original including the windshield. This is always a great sign that the car has been driven carefully and not tracked. The interior of this car is in equally good shape. There are no tears on the upholstery and wear is minimal. The dash is in excellent shape as well with no cracks or warping. All the gauges look great and function properly…even the clock works. The original radio is in great condition and works as well. The A/C seems to be operational and does blow…just not very cold.

This Carrera looks to have been very well optioned with the following items:

    Full Leather
Both driver and passenger power seats
    Cruise Control
    7” and 8” Wheels
    Sport Spoiler
    930 Factory Rear Spoiler

My first impressions driving this 911 were a pleasant surprise. The car felt very tight and drove great. It was obvious that this car had been well cared for. The power was great and the gearbox shifted smoothly through all the gears.

This Carrera includes the original tool kit, spare, jack, extra keys, and owner’s manual
