Aaron Burnham at Kundensport makes a high-quality unit at an attractive price.
His distributor features a third, top mounted sealed bearing for accuracy, additional shaft support and increased spark-timing precision throughout the RPM range.

Thanks for the info, very helpfull and that's what I'll probably go for, but just curious, would anyone know an original Marelli twin-plug distributor?
Thanks, Henk

+1 on Aaron distributors ; top quality workmanship and look !! He's are very helpful and smart guy for any engine works ; highly recommended.
He's running is own shop ; Rennwerks. You can reach him at : rennwerks@hotmail.com

Not to be pedantic about this point, but his shop, as mentioned above, is actually shared space in the Kundensport facilty in Camarillo, CA. All his CNC machinery is set up there, and he collaborates with Hans & Ed on projects as well as manufacturing the products he sells under his Rennwerks name. There is a close working relationship between Kundensport and Rennworks with significant benefits to both. The same phone number will get you either party.
One of the main reasons I recommend his distributor, is that the maintanance items, i.e. cap, rotor, etc. are currently produced, commonly available components at reasonable prices, whereas used and / or NOS original 12-point distributors are insanely expensive to purchase, have been out of production for years and the tune-up parts are even more difficult to locate and are usually priced even more prepostrously.
It's awfully nice to be able to talk or e-mail the man who conceived and actually made parts for your project.......and finally, forget everything I said if there's a requirement for absolute authenticity in a perfectly correct restoration or recreation, in which case the choice of a distributor is but a tiny part.

I have one of Aaron's distributors too - excellent guy/product.
I believe I am right in saying that Porsche used only Marelli twin-plug distributors for their 911 race engines up until the 3.0RSR which then used a Bosch twin-plug distributor.

Sorry John, I was not aware of that, I was thinking that Kundersport was just a dealer for Aaron ; good to know... Anyhow you are right about Aaron, I really appreciate is help and advice in my project. CCW for 2.4 case was around 2k$, but much better construction, in my mind, then other cheaper dizzy on the market...
