    Were the WECO 406 connectors clear when new?

    yes they where clear....years ago i bought 2 pallets 404 and 406 from neoplan(bus manufacturer) they cleared there overstock...over 70000 connectors the 406 mostly went to the VW community and the 404 to porsche guys and some german moped restorers

    The one on my 65 shown in the photo does not have a VW logo.

    yes i noticed that you posted two different versions...my observation is that 912E very often had the one with VW logo(i broke many 912E more than 911 so maybe my observation does not reflect the reality) .... but also the weco logo has changed position and size
