I certainly don't know who made the original dashes for Porsche. Lots of people smarter than I am on these forums. Maybe someone does.

    Lightbulb

I got a factory one for my '73 in 1990. At the time there were 2 options. The dash with the speaker grill, and the dash with no grill at all.
Seeing I bought my car with speakers in the doors I had no reason (at the time) to spend the 50% more for the speaker dash...
I believe the speaker dash was about $700 in 1990...

The speakerless dash fit perfectly... I have no doubt that the speakered dash would have perfectly as well....

The dash is still in the car 31 years later....

    Cheers,
    cm

I think that's the same one I wrote about buying earlier. It was not good.

There's a guy over on Pelican who's making a replacement dash that's supposed to be really good. I'm sure most of you have seen it over there.

I like those guys. Had a long conversation with them a couple years back during Lit Show weekend. They were showing armrests and door pockets at the time. Their stuff was good, not great, and I told them so. It all had a little bit of a "hand-made" feeling and not in a good way. Their dash looks the same to me from the limited photos they've posted. Not slamming them at all. Very good guys and, while their armrests weren't perfect, they're better than anything else I've seen. I'm just much pickier about dashes than I am about armrests.
