    WTB - Front suspension cover

I am looking for a front suspension cover (not sure of exact name), that fits right behind the fuel tank, covering the steering couplers. Anyone have one lying around? How important are these? How much do they run?

    Thanks,

I did not know there was one on 1970-1971 cars. I do not have one on my '71.

Good question, my car is a 1970 911T, the suspension is currently being redone, and the shop mentioned I was missing this item. I guess the first question should have been, are these standard on the 1970 911T's. If they are not then that would be great.

Yep standard and should be there. They get beat up, rusted etc.

    Make that three of us!

Yes, all the 911 cars have them. I put up a post on Pelican and here and came up with 2, and I needed 3. I paid on average $100 each. Good condition with no rust. There are plenty of beaten up ones for less.

Are the covers the same across all model years and model ranges?

Anyone with photos of the covers?

Good question. I have heard that the 914 part is close, but no cigar! I' m guessing that all thru 73 are interchangeable but vary a little. I have3 and none match precisely & one I believe is a fourteener, I think. The other two have matching attachment points and contours. Cliff
