    3-Part Seat Belt Thingy

As I recall, cars came with embedded bolts on the side panels for a 3-point harness. When 2-point belts were used that opening was covered. I know that in 356's the cover was plastic and held in place with a huge (14 x 1.25 I think) Philips screw. Were the covers plastic or metal in the early 911's ('67 specifically) and was the same screw used?

    Thanks!

Can't help on type of cover John my 67 has an aluminum "thingy" for 3rd belt. Can help on bolt, 8 x 1.25. Mine is hex head and sets about 1/8" recessed in "thingy".

Are the disks metal or plastic? And is there a washer under the bolt?

    Thanks,

Plastic and there are 3 pieces: 1 bolt, 1 large plastic cover, 1 bevelled plastic washer

Interesting INBUS screw, similar to the M8 bolt that holds the door catch on the 67- cars. What is the thread pitch and length?

Thanks for the input. I managed to find two sets of plastic disks and two bolts. I "think" that the they are the same bolts used for the door catch.

    Cheers,
