Never knew the low lights existed. They are extremely cool. Much more so than the later incarnations. Great side sculpting as well. Thanks for sharing.

Low light Karmann Ghias are so much more elegant!

I can do one better for specialized - the T34 Karmann Ghia registry!

Eade had one that I think is now on Auto Kennel's site for sale.

Love the purity of lowlight Ghias, and have always had a soft spot for Type 34s. Probably a long painful affair with the BMW 2000CS didn't help. Whenever a project shows up for sale on the Samba I remind myself Karmann made them as complex as the BMW E9 shell.
Meaning rusty ones are rarely worth messing with. But who knows... my dream is what this guy did with his T34.

If you want specialised - you don't have to go any further afield than our own marque - try http://convertibledregistry.com/

A one year only production, 1331 cars made (not sure how many currently exist) - 2 reputedly factory fitted with Carrera engines.
And the "low-light" theme was evident also in all Porsche 356 pre-A and A models.
