Looking for Early 911 or 912 conversion

Well, I've been saving for about five years for an early 911. Since my wife and I are starting to talk about children, I figure it's now or never. I'm looking for an early 911 driver. I care more about performance, reliability, no to low rust, and a moderate price tag than originality. Well-done SWB 912 conversion would also be great. Thank you for any tips you can send by pm or email at ahcheemjoe at yahoo.com. Thanks, Joe

Thanks for the replies. A couple of good options already. This is a great forum. If anyone else knows of a great car, please pass it on. Thanks, Joe

I've got one in my shop right now. It's a LWB SWT with modified SC flares, full cage, 3.2 w/Haltech fuel injection, gearbox with LSD and gears, turbo brakes, 7 and 8X15 Fuchs and on and on and on.

Interested? Drop me a line. We built the car ... twice.

Thanks for the responses. Considering my budget, I think I should focus on finding a nicely done 912 to 911 conversion. Thanks for any leads. Joe

Here are some candidates. ...As far as finished cars - many are a work in progress. Would you be spending in excess of 25G or below that ?

If you're skilled as a welder it's possible to take on a car with problems and have cash left over at the end...at least theoretically.

Many of us are attracted to the romance or idea of low buck porsches. It may not seem that way though with the number of 'rare' or factory built spec cars discussed here.
