    Lightbulb

Leon's co-owner in the car wants it to have a lower profile for awhile...
Hopefully Leon will get the consent to post some more down the line...

Leon deleted the thread with his apologies.....

    Chuck,

Seriously, if someone (not the originator) has saved some or all of a thread, is it permissible for them to repost it? In other words, once a thread is on the web, is it in the public domain, so to speak? Thanks.

I miss that thread too, but it is the author's right to delete it, and no, not everything is free on the internet.

    Allen and all...

    Randy is, of course, right...

It's the purgative of the thread originator to delete a thread...
Once that is their wish, we won't allow it to be re-posted by another........ sorry

We're all hoping this thread will come back soon.....

Each new post was like Christmas morning -- not just Leon's but all of them. We must respect that personal privacy can be a big issue in other countries and in other cultures for a variety of reasons. South Africa may look a lot like certain parts of San Diego County (even the same wildlife) but it's a very different place than where most of us live. I wish Leon and his partner the best and look forward to learning more about this wonderful story when they are able to share it. Thanks as always, Chuck, for your respect for civility, privacy, and property.

Will he have to re-write everything when he wants to post, or can it just come back up where it was at the time of deletion?

I respectfully disagree. Leon wasn't the only author of that thread, many people
contributed, and all the knowledge that was posted has now vanished. Maybe you
have the right to delete/edit your own posts, but pulling everyone else's smells bad.
