Thread: position of mounting holes

    Question position of mounting holes

    While restoring my 72 T, I chose to use the round durant mirror vs the origional flag design. I can not get the mirror to move close enough towards the driver to get a "safe" view of traffic to my rear. At first I suspected the mirror, (OEM) or re-po, but think there might be diffrent mounting hole locations. Any thoughts?

    I'm fairly sure that the round Durant & the later '72/'73 rectangular mirrors were mounted in exactly the same position.

    However, it is commonly known that the repro Durant mirrors don't have the same range of adjustment as the OEM version & I suspect that this is the cause of the problem.

    Thanks Andy;

    I did not know that, and that would explain everything.
