I am considering this. would you consider a good unmodified alum 67S case as a trade possibility? Steve

Looking to generate cash to pay for the new motor, BUT am open to all creative offers. Shoot me a PM with what you are thinking.

More pictures - I was asked for shots of the series and serial numbers:

You'll notice, as I did when I went back and actually looked...there's no serial number. It doesn't look like it was ground off, as the thickness of the stamping area seems right. On the other hand, the stamping area is not smooth as I am used to seeing - it has some texture to it.

Given my uncertainty, I am not going to sell this case as "unstamped", nor am I asking the premium that this would add in price to this case. I leave that value judgement up to you.

Weekend bump - building a hot small bore? This is the case to save time and money with.

Trades always considered, but realistically looking to get more cash than stuff.

I have the same case on my 73 911 E. What makes them rare?

    just curious

They are rare since they were made for only half a year, but is what makes them unique that drives their desirability. What makes them unique is that they are the strongest magnesium small bore case ever made. They are the same case as the 2.7L 7R cases, but are the only 7R case that had a small spigot bore compatible with all motor displacements down to 2 liters. They are about as strong as an aluminum case, BUT are 20 lbs lighter.

They are highly desirable by anyone with a need for small displacement and big power, especially when using a 70.4mm crank. They are probably most desirable for racers with class specific displacement needs, but are also desirable by anyone who desires ultimate reliability when choosing to build a high revving motor, especially on the longer throw crank.

Again, for anyone wanting this case, I am selling it for $200 below the cost of the machine work! You get this BUILT, rare case, which I have seen sell in used condition for nearly $1000, for FREE.

Another small spigot 7R for sale

I have another one of these for sale that I took in partial trade for this case. Same small spigot 7R case, STD and in spec case bore, but with fewer options. The only upgrade this case has seen is the oil bypass mod. I am looking for $1250 + shipping for this one.

Will post pics in a new thread ASAP.

I know that this is an old thread but are either of these cases still for sale?

    Regards,
